3月29日，广州开发区、广州高新区举行2020年第一季度重大项目投试产暨全面加快推进新基建活动。24个重点项目通过5G云端直播同时投试产。活动当天，广州开发区还推出《广州市黄埔区 广州开发区 广州高新区加快 新基建 助力数字经济发展十条》，以 新基建 为抓手，打造数字经济发展新样板。

在主会场，随着一声令下，会场主屏幕展现了各投试产项目厂内生产线、实验室等区域进入投试产运营的情况。集中投试产项目中包含中国软件CBD、京信、立景、维杰斯通等8个 新基建 项目，占当天投试产项目的33%;5个生物医药和医疗服务项目、7个先进制造业项目、4个总部和其他配套产业项目。这24个投试产项目预计达产后年产值1172亿元。

由京信通信投资建设的京信5G AAU配套天线和介质滤波器智能工厂项目于活动当天投试产。该项目位于中新广州知识城，总投资超5亿元，主要生产5G介质滤波器、5G天线，是5G通信络建设系统的关键射频部件平台。

新能源汽车充电装置方面，当天投试产的维杰斯通(中新广州知识城)科技园区主要生产并光伏系统及光伏输配电器材、光伏电源、太阳能电动汽车充电装置。值得一提的是，该企业旗下的海坤电气在新冠肺炎疫情期间，仅用18个小时就赶制出一批智能配电设备，及时供应深圳小汤山临时医院。

广州开发区是以区块链为特色的 中国软件名区 。今年2月21日，广东省印发《广州人工智能与数字经济试验区建设总体方案》，明确在该区鱼珠片区布局打造以区块链为特色的中国软件名城示范区。中国软件CBD项目是上述方案中明确的区块链创新核心载体。广州开发区将建设立足粤港澳大湾区、链接 一带一路 、影响全球的信息技术应用创新园，打造以区块链为特色的高端软件产业集群。
